Parking areas & hardware in the PARQ system

You set up each of your parking areas in the portal and give it its own rules. This also works for individual zones, for example a parking deck with its own access. If you have several sites, you see all of them in one overview and can configure and analyse each separately. You can also see whether every device on site is running, from the camera to the pay station.

Parking areas & hardware at a glance

Each area has its own report with its parking spaces, zones, access points and connected hardware.

Parking areas & hardware day to day.

Under parking areas, you manage everything that belongs to a site in the portal: spaces, zones, entrances and the technology installed there. Each area gets its own logic, meaning its own tariffs, its own authorisations and its own rules for short-term and long-term parkers. If a zone has its own entrance with a camera, such as a parking deck or a separate staff zone, it gets its own rules. Existing technology stays in place wherever possible: barriers and roller doors are connected and continue to be used, as far as their controls allow, and only what is missing is added. This keeps the conversion small and operations consistent. If you operate several sites, they all appear in the same view but can be evaluated and managed separately. What you set here takes effect immediately at the entrance, at the pay station and in billing. If a site is added later, you set it up in the portal without anything changing at the other areas.

Zones within a parking area

An area is rarely uniform: one parking deck for visitors, one for staff, a separate zone for long-term parkers. If a zone has its own entrance with a camera, it can be managed and reported on separately.

  • Zones with their own entrance, regulated separately
  • Separate tariffs and authorisations per zone
  • Entrances and devices assigned to the area
  • Occupancy per area and zone

Existing equipment stays

Barriers and roller doors already in place are connected and continue to be used, as far as their controls allow. What is missing is added. This keeps the conversion small and the area operational.

Your parking system. Your rules.

Parking areas & hardware: common questions.

Yes. Every area has its own rules, its own tariffs and its own authorisations, and they all sit together in one view. Both can be analysed: each area on its own and all of them together. If a site is added, you set it up in the portal without anything changing for the others.

Yes, if the zone has its own entrance with a camera, for example a parking deck, a level of the underground car park or a separate staff zone. It then gets its own tariffs, its own authorisations and its own maximum parking duration. Individual parking spaces without their own entrance can't be managed separately.

No. Existing barriers and gates are integrated and continue to be used, if their controls allow it. Only what's missing is added, for example cameras at the entrances or a pay station. That keeps the conversion small and the area usable during the changeover.
